Wind Skillnet’s partnership with the Construction Industry Federation to mark Behavioural Safety Week last October was a huge success, according to the Head of Education and Operational Asset Programmes at the Irish Wind Energy Association (IWEA).

“It was a natural fit for us as our members value health and safety as the very cornerstone of the industry,” noted Johanna Cafferkey, IWEA’s Head of Education and Operational Asset Programmes.

IWEA launched its new poster campaign during the awareness week, which Cafferkey said aimed to reinforce the great safety record in the wind industry and continued importance of putting safety first.

“There was a great turnout and interaction from IWEA members and we are looking forward to running another similar event during 2018.”
