With the regional rounds of the All Ireland Occupational Safety Quiz season taking place nationwide throughout February and March, it’s now time for teams to put plans in place to be in with a chance of becoming the Occupational Safety Quiz Champions for 2017!

Each year NISO’s All Ireland Safety Quiz, organised in collaboration with Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISG), takes place at a number of NISO regions around the country during February and March.

Each organisation may enter teams of four players in one of two categories – the ‘Previous Entrants Category’ or the ‘Novices Category’. The regional winners of each category will then participate in the All-Ireland Final, which this year takes place on Saturday 22 April at Sligo’s Radisson Blu Hotel.

The All-Ireland winners and participants can display their prize and certificate at their place of work, and it helps to promote a culture of health and safety in their organisation. It’s good publicity, as all finalists are mentioned on NISO and NISG websites and relevant publications and email distributions.

REGIONAL QUIZ DATES AND VENUES
To qualify for the All-Ireland Safety Quiz Final, participants need to win the relevant category in one of the following eight regional and one Northern Ireland quiz finals.
* NISO Western Region [Galway, Mayo, Roscommon]
9 February @ 8pm; Oranmore Lodge Hotel, Oranmore, Co Galway.
* NISO Midland Region [Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath]
7 March @ 8pm; Bridge House Hotel, Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
* NISO North East Region [Cavan, Louth, Meath, Monaghan]
9 March @ 7pm; The Errigal Hotel, Cootehill, Co. Cavan.
* NISO North West Region [Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo]
16 March @ 8pm; The Clayton Hotel, Sligo
* NISO South Eastern Region [Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary South, Waterford, Wexford]
21 March @ 8pm; Viking Hotel Waterford, Cork Road, Waterford.
* NISO Eastern Region [Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow]
22 March @ 7pm; The Gresham Hotel, Dublin 1.
* NISO Mid-West Region [Clare, Limerick, Tipperary North]
