DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL WAIVES BIKE HIRE FEES TO AID HEALTHCARE WORKERS

Dublin City Council is now waiving permit fees for its two licensed operators of stationless bike hire schemes to help support healthcare workers.

BleeperBike and Moby are offering free bike hire to help those working in the medical sector get to work during the COVID-19 pandemic. DCC is waiving both of the operators’ fees for as long as the initiative lasts.

“Dublin City Council is delighted to partner in this initiative and support our dedicated healthcare workers. We’re waiving permit fees for BleeperBike and Moby while we ride out the current storm,” according to Kevin Meade, DCC’s Environment & Transportation Department.

“Healthcare workers often work unsocial hours when public transport is not available. It is our pleasure to partner with Dublin City Council to support those in health care during this tough time,” announced Hugh Cooney, CEO and Founder of BleeperBike.

“This is a global crisis but we all have a duty to play our part and help tackle it whatever way we can in our city,” he added.

“We’re very happy to be involved in making sure that our healthcare workers can have a free alternative option to get to work if they want,” noted Thomas O’Connell, CEO and Founder of Moby.
