DEAF AWARENESS TRAINING IN THE WORKPLACE

The Irish Deaf Society has received funding from the Department of Justice & Equality to provide Deaf Awareness Training in the workplace.

The project aims to bring awareness of deaf people to their employers by explaining about deaf culture and language, and by showing ways of effective alternative communication, participant’s attitude of deaf people would change to a more positive light. It will also remove any negative preconceptions and myths about deaf people.
